Fourth Grade Math
Several fourth graders at Central were recently practicing their division skills. Here’s what they had to say about math in fourth grade.
Kolea
Do you like division? “It’s a subject I’m working on. It’s kind of fun.”
How would you explain division? “Division is about dividing a number into equal parts and seeing if there is a remainder.”
Kolea said her favorite thing in math is multiplication and that she knows most of her multiplication tables, but the twelves are pretty hard.
Sawyer
He said he likes math, that he struggles with some concepts in math, but “Division is the best!”
Why does he like division? Because he just likes to divide stuff into different groups.
“I just think math is fun.”
