On Thursday, September 14th, about 60 children participated in IMESD's annual Children's Rodeo at the Pendleton Round-Up Arena. Sponsored by IMESD and the Pendleton Round-Up, the event provides children with special needs ages 5 through 10 years the opportunity to be cowboys and cowgirls inside the famous rodeo location.
Students from 11 of IMESD's component school districts showed up to ride a horse, ride in a buggy, rope a pretend steer, barrel race on stick ponies, ride a pretend bull and more.
Thank you to the participants, their families and the 85 volunteers who made this experience possible this year.
