LGSD starts school with Comprehensive Distance Learning for All (CDL)
La Grande School District will begin our school year in Comprehensive Distance Learning (CDL) for all students, due to no longer satisfying statewide exceptions for Union County.
This means that, contrary to our recent plan to have grades K-3 learning on-site, now All of our students will be in distance learning. We are not allowed to bring back K-3 students if we have confirmed cases from staff or students 14 days prior to the start of reentry. At this time the district has 2 confirmed cases taking place with our staff members and students.
Expect the school district to follow the state metric as we bring students back to our schools. We will seek to bring students back with limited in-person instruction by September 21, pending we meet metric guidelines for our county.
