The month of March will focus on encouraging excellent attendance through classroom competitions. You play an important role in supporting students and helping them make school a top priority. We thank you for that. Our theme is March Madness just like the college basketball tournament. The comradery among staff and students has always been enjoyable to witness and makes for an awesome month of March leading up to spring break. The leadership team has done a great job putting this together. There are classroom prizes as well as individual awards recognizing any and all students who attend regularly and are on time to class with no tardies. A second mention and reminder to us all is our cell phone policy expectations. Beginning in the fall of this school year we made a decision to remove cell phones and their use from the classroom learning environment. This means the device is silenced or off and put away (not visible) for every period. Students can access the phone between classes during the passing period and at lunch. Again, this has had many positive results with staff and students in our school. We don't want to lose ground on the progress we've seen with productive classroom conversations and interactions that increase learning for all students. Thank you much, and TigerUp!
