LGSD Staff and Families,
Today near 12:30 PM, LGPD dispatch received a report of a potential active shooter on the LHS campus.
Law enforcement were at the school site at the time of the call and quickly and efficiently determined
the call to be not credible. We have confirmed that similar threats have occurred today across multiple
Oregon school districts and none were deemed credible.
LGSD will continue to work with law enforcement and LHS staff throughout the day to monitor and
support student and staff safety with extra patrols and presence on our campuses. Parents may pick-up
their children if they desire, but schools will continue to operate normally today as the threat has been
deemed not credible.
Respectfully,
George Mendoza
