The first day of school for the La Grande School District is Monday, August 28, 2023 for students in grades 1st through 7th and 9th, as well as any students new to the district. Students in 8th grade, 10th, 11,th and 12th will start on Tuesday, August 29th. We are very excited to welcome all our students to the new school year!
Kindergarten students will receive a letter from their teacher letting them know if they start on Monday, August 28th or Tuesday, August 29th.

Parents of Kindergarteners or struggling First Grade and Second Grade readers:
Tutoring kits are available and include a set of supplies and lessons to use at home between now and the start of school.
There are 30 lessons that take only 10-15 minutes each, so there is still time to get through the whole thing with a little daily practice between now and September. Please contact Jess Hagedorn at hagedoj@eou.edu

It is with great sadness that we share the loss of Coach Ron Evans. Coach Evans was our boys golf coach and had a very positive impact on many in our community.
Our thoughts are with his family, current and former golf team members, LHS students, staff and all who are mourning his loss.
We will update with more information related to services and ask that you remember his great impact and influence on our students.
